FAQ

Do you instruct posing? I'm kind of awkward.

Take a close look at my website or social media pages, about 90% of my clients said the same thing. Although I am a photographer, I can get a little uncomfortable when I'm in front of a camera too. This is why I created a questionnaire for my sessions that lets me get to know my clients better before we even meet. Once at your session all I ask is you be yourself and let me handle the rest.
I instruct natural posing by using prompts that I have picked out just for you. Ive noticed this gets more genuine connection and makes everyone feel less awkward.

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

The quick answer, no I don't. After your session I carefully go through each and every image and then go through a culling process which I will eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focus, and shots with bad facial expressions. I try to capture moments of laughter and motion which yes will hopefully get me that great shot but also leaves me with some not so great images.

Can I bring my dog to the session?

Yes! I love dogs and most animals actually, so please let me know on your questionnaire. Do be advised though that some locations do not allow animals, so that can limit where we have your session. Unfortunately, I do not allow pets during mini sessions.

When will we get our photos?

My turn around time is typically two weeks but depending on the time of year you may get your gallery back sooner or a bit later but I will inform you of the time frame when you book. Your will receive a link to a private online gallery.

What is your photography style?

I definitely lean towards a more moody, bold and vibrant style. With that being said though I do not like being a cookie cutter photographer. I firmly believe that every session is different, whether it be the location, time of year, or overall vibe of the family/individual I am photographing so each session is carefully edited to fit the session.

Where will my session be held?

I take photos in numerous locations throughout Kitsap county. Since I am a natural light outdoor photographer my sessions are scheduled about an 1-2 hours prior to sunset unless you are scheduling a newborn session. Newborn sessions are my only indoor sessions that are done in the comfort of your own home in the morning.
When booking with me I will send you a questionnaire that way I can get an idea of what you are looking for.

When do Newborn sessions occur?

I like to schedule a newborn session within the first month of life, but obviously that may not work out and that okay. My lifestyle in home sessions allow for flexibility. Newborn sessions are the only sessions I do indoors and they are scheduled in the morning.
